Opportunities with The Shirman Group

Marketing Internship:

We are looking for an independent self-starter who wants to learn the basics of marketing from the ground up. This intern would help with some key marketing initiatives in support of specific client engagements.  The intern will report directly to Lilia Shirman, Managing Director of The Shirman Group, and will also work closely with clients.  I believe in helping people get a head start in their career and this internship will provide someone with an amazing opportunity to see what marketing is really all about, and deliver real, measurable results for the client.

The intern will be responsible for projects that are likely to include:

  • Customer and sales channel research:  Based on guidance from the client, build lists of target customers or channel organizations.
  • Market research: identify specific ways to get the client’s message out to target audiences in order to drive execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Marketing collateral:  Create, in accordance with the client’s existing brand, marketing collateral targeted at specific partner segments. Such collateral may include brochures, email, ads, power point presentations, web page content, or other forms of communication.
  • Execute marketing campaigns:  Based on research done above, assist in the development and execution of one or more marketing campaigns.  These will give the intern the opportunity to learn to integrate email marketing, telesales, traditional mail, event participation, and possibly other marketing vehicles.
The intern will have access to and training on development of value propositions and marketing messages, market research, email marketing content and tools, campaign design and outreach techniques.

The perfect candidate has most of the following qualifications and/or skills:
